The Santa Maria Indians have moved to Templeton!

Is there a better match than baseball for a hot summer night? The Santa Maria Indians, one of the nation's oldest and most respected semi-pro baseball clubs, is now making its home in the North County. On March 8, the Templeton Unified School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to negotiate an agreement with the Indians and fully approved the contract a few weeks later. First game is Friday, June 1st, 2012 at Vineyard Athletic Park behind Vineyard Elementary School.  

The Indians are the oldest semi-pro team in California, and along with the Santa Barbara Foresters, one of only two California teams to win college summer baseball’s national championship, the National Baseball Congress (NBC) World Series. In 2012, More....
